SUMMARY:SPE Case Western Reserve University Student Chapter Event - Presentation and Dinner
DESCRIPTION:SPE Case Western Reserve University Student Chapter Presents\nDinner and a Presentation on\nREADY TO INVEST BUT NOT SURE WHAT COMES FIRST?\nCOME LEARN THE BASICS FOR A STARTER PORTFOLIO!\n  \n  \nDwight David Morgan began his career in polymers with M.A. Hanna Company\, a predecessor to Avient Corporation\, where he held a succession of corporate development and general management roles. In 1998\, he formed Accel Color Corporation\, a custom-formulated colorants producer\, which he grew to four facilities and over 120 employees. When Accel Color was sold to Techmer PM in 2008\, Dwight continued to run the company and served on Techmer’s senior leadership team. In 2013\, he joined The Composites Group\, a maker of thermoset compounds\, as vice president of sales and marketing\, where he participated in integrating three acquisitions and prepared the business for its eventual merger with Citadel Plastics in 2014. He then joined global resin producer M. Holland Company as Executive Vice President\, where he oversaw strategy and corporate development and managed the company’s international operations. Dwight holds a bachelor’s degree from the Kent State University School of Journalism and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law. Since retiring in 2024\, Dwight has devoted much of his time to wealth management education\, publishing a weekly newsletter\, hosting biweekly investing calls\, and holding investing seminars for businesses and organizations. A lifelong investor\, he believes no one in the wealthiest country in history should outlive their wealth. \n  \nHosted by: Dwight D. SUMMARY:Thogus and rp+m - Site Tour and Dinner
DESCRIPTION:SPE Cleveland and the Cleveland Engineering Society \nPresent a \nFacility Tour and Dinner at \nThogus and rp+m \n\nJoin Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) and the Cleveland Engineering Society (CES)  for a joint behind-the-scenes Industry Tour at Thogus and rp+m in Avon Lake\, Ohio. This unique event will showcase how modern plastics manufacturing and additive manufacturing technologies are shaping the future of product development and production. \nThe tour will begin at Thogus\, a family-owned manufacturer specializing in custom plastic injection molding and contract manufacturing. Attendees will have the opportunity to see the injection molding process in action\, explore advanced molding equipment and automation systems\, and learn how engineered thermoplastics are used to create precision components for industries such as automotive\, medical\, consumer products\, and industrial manufacturing. Headquartered in Avon Lake\, Ohio\, Thogus has 35+ injection molding machines (35 – 750Tons) with robots at every press. \nParticipants will also visit rp+m (rapid prototype + manufacturing)\, a leader in additive manufacturing and 3D printing technologies. During this portion of the tour\, guests will see cutting-edge additive manufacturing systems producing prototype and production parts from polymer and metal materials. The tour will highlight how technologies such as metal laser melting and high-precision polymer printing enable rapid prototyping\, complex geometries\, and faster product development cycles. \nThis combined tour offers a rare opportunity to see both traditional high-volume manufacturing and advanced additive manufacturing working together within the same innovation ecosystem. \nSpace is limited—register early to secure your spot! \n  \nEvent Agenda \n4:15 – 4:30 PM – Arrival & Check-In\nGuests arrive\, check in\, and receive safety instructions before the tour begins. \n4:30 – 4:40 PM – Welcome & Introductions \n4:40 – 5:25 PM – Thogus Facility Tour\nGuided tour of the Thogus injection molding and manufacturing facility\, showcasing custom plastic injection molding processes\,
